MARION COUNTY, MO. -- The following news release was issued by the Marion County, Mo. Sheriff’s Office:

On May 21, 2010 Judge John J. Jackson issued a Class C felony warrant for Billie Jo Bryan of Lagrange, Missouri for possession of a controlled substance. Bryan’s bond was set at $25,000.00 cash only.

The warrant for Bryan was issued as a direct result of a joint investigation conducted by the NEMO Drug Task Force and the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.

The criminal investigation began when Bryan was arrested by an outside law enforcement agency on May 20, 2010 on separate misdemeanor charges. Upon processing Bryan at the Marion County Jail, a detention officer under the direction of a NEMO Drug Task Force Detective located drug paraphernalia and methamphetamines upon Bryan’s person.

Bryan faces up to seven years incarceration within the Missouri Department of Corrections and is set to be arraigned on May 25, 2010 at the Marion County Courthouse in Palmyra, Missouri.
