K-9 unit used during Hannibal arrest Tuesday

HANNIBAL, MO. -- The following is a police report from the Hannibal Police Department:

Darvell Lamarr King, age 29, of Hannibal, Mo. was arrested Tuesday.

Details of Arrest or Offense:  King was stopped for a traffic violation which occurred at 7th & Oak. A K-9 unit was called to the scene and alerted on the vehicle. During the subsequent search of the vehicle, suspected crack cocaine and cannabis were located in the vehicle.

King was charged with the following offenses: Controlled Substance Trafficking, Criminal Drug Conspiracy, Driving Under The Influence of Drugs, Unlawful Possession of Cannabis Less Than 2.5 grams, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Failure to Signal When Required, No Rear Registration Light

King was lodged in the Adams County Jail.
