Some residents in the Hancock district say they have seen as much as eleven inches of rain in the past week.
As a result, the Hunt Drainage Pumping System has been working around the clock.
Water has risen four feet above the flood stage and is expected to reach 19 feet.
They have turned all three pumps on, allowing 210,000 gallons to go through a minute.
Standing water in low lands are affecting crops in the area.
Sam Zumwalt, The Chairman of the Hunt Drainage System, said, "Well, of course you're looking at the river, it's up high and there's not much we can do about that, mother nature [will] take care of that. The level of the ditch was three feet, we got it down about a half a foot now. But, every inch of rain we get it takes 24 hours to get it out of there."
