One Illinois town is taking a beating from the Illinois river.
Kampsville is one of the worst hit areas in the Tri-States.
Highway one hundred, the main road that runs through the town, is closed due to flooding.
The river is currently ten feet above flood stage.
Some buildings are sitting in as much as six inches of water, including the Fire Department and two out of three restaurants in the town.

We spoke with Jessica Wilcox, a Kampsville local, who shares with us how the flooding is affecting the way she gets to and from work.
Wilcox said, "I personally live on the Illinois part of it. And, I live 15 feet in the air on stilts so, I boat in and out of my house everyday."
Many people move their houses away from the river when flood season comes around and some move from the town all-together.
This morning, folks said they aren't going to take action just yet but are keeping an eye on levels and hope the trend of rain doesn't continue.
Good news is.....water has dropped an inch since last night.
