Secretary of State facilities closed for Independence Day

The following is a press release from the Office of Jesse White, Secretary of State:

All Illinois Secretary of State offices and facilities will be closed on Monday, July 5, 2010, in observance of Independence Day.

- Driver Service facilities that operate Monday through Friday will reopen for normal business hours on Tuesday, July 6, 2010.

- Driver Service facilities that are normally open Tuesday through Saturday will be closed on Saturday, July 3, 2010 and reopen for normal business on Tuesday, July 6, 2010. This includes facilities outside of Cook County, as well as the Chicago West, Midlothian, Diversey Express and Niles facilities.

Individuals can visit the Secretary of State's Web site, www.cyberdriveillinois.com, to change an address, register to be an organ donor or renew license plate stickers if they have received a renewal form by mail.
