HANNIBAL, MO. -- Another event known at National Tom Sawyer Days is the fence painting contest.
Nine "Tom's" competed in this year's National fence painting contest. They had to have a list of items before they could get their buckets ready.
There were boys from Oklahoma, Michigan, and California.
This year's winner also won the State competition earlier in the day.
Dylan Behl from New London took home this huge statue. This wasn't his first time white washing a fence.
"I practice at my house. We have a little board that we have and I just practiced with paint and water," said Behl.
Winning is something that runs in Behl's family. His mother won the over 30 event also...
"She won last year and the year before but now I get to win too," said Behl.
