QUINCY, ILL. -- Finances for Adams County do not look very good for the future. That's the word from Tuesday night's Adams County Board meeting.
Sales tax revenues have held up well this year.
But this fiscal year, the county is behind $400,000 to $500,000 in income tax revenue from the state.
John Johnson serves as chairman of the finance committee.
He says if the state continues to hold up income tax revenue from the county in the new fiscal year, beginning December 1st, it looks like a tough budget for the new fiscal year.
