Plans put together by Illini Community Health Care Foundation
PITTSFIELD, ILL. -- A Pittsfield organization is hoping to bring a consolidated health services facility to Pike County.
The Illini Community Health Care Foundation has offered to buy about half of the lot that used to house the Brown Shoe factory from the city of Pittsfield to build that facility.
Here are the terms.
The foundation would buy all property west of the alley right of way for a little more than $58,391.
If no construction is done on the site before July first of 2011, the city could re-buy the property for $25,000.
And if the foundation would sell the property before July first of 2011, all proceeds exceeding the purchase cost would go back to the city.
"We feel that there are many infrastructure health services, public health services that could use new facilities or could leverage their existing resources and staffing more efficiently if they could be consolidated into one unified health facility," said I.C.H.C.F. Ex. Dir. Patricia McIntosh.
The Pittsfield City Council is deliberating the offer now and will make their final decision at their meeting Tuesday, July 20th.
