KEOKUK, IOWA -- The city of Keokuk is holding its fall clean up early this year.

The clean up starts Monday July 19th and runs through August 14th.

The city is offering two free vouchers for free waste disposal.

The voucher program which started in 2008, saves the city money on transportation costs.

This year the city is expecting even more garbage than usual.

Keokuk code enforcement officer Kathie Mahoney says, "This year it is early. We usually don't do it till the fall but because we've had some problems with the flooding in the city, we decided to do it early to help the people have had flood damage and want to get rid of stuff."

Vouchers are available at City Hall.

The city is also planning a second E-waste disposal for later this year.
