QUINCY, ILL. -- The Quincy Police Department says they've arrested a 16 year old boy on charges of manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance.

Police say they were called to the area of the 2137 South 23rd Street Wednesday night for a report of a suspicious person.

They found the 16 year old in the area and when questioning him, they discovered about a quarter pound of marijuana in his backpack along with some paraphernalia.

He was arrested and taken to the Adams County Youth Detention Center.
