Water main break repairs underway
Quincy Central Services crews worked all day today to repair a water main break in the center of the intersection of 30th and Broadway.
QUINCY, ILL. --
Although the main break was repaired on Wednesday when it was originally discovered, crews also found that a sewer line had been damaged.
That was fixed on Thursday.
Once the hole you was filled, it would be covered with 10 inch patch of concrete and allowed to cure and set over the weekend.
That means that Thursday, Friday and throughout the weekend drivers will need to use extra caution traveling through the intersection.
If all goes as planned the barricades should be taken down sometime on Monday.
