QUINCY, ILL. -- Wind energy has been making headlines here in the tri-states for sometime.

Friday afternoon, the Quincy Exchange Club hosted Kyle Barry, who is the co-founder of the Illinois Wind Energy Association.

He's also an attorney who works on policy issues for the association.

He also represents developers of wind energy projects and consults counties on developing wind energy ordinances.

He told the group today when Illinois was looked at for potential wind energy farms, Adams and Pike Counties showed some great promise.

"I think the development can be done in a way that benefits local communities, local governments, local landowners, and in a way that does no negatively affect landowners," says Barry.

Kyle Barry also warns everyone who may be affected by a potential wind farm to be careful where they get their information.
