Summit task force looking for business owners, entrepreneurs

The Tri-State Development Summit Task Force is now accepting registrations for "New Markets, Government Contracts, Export and Emerging Industries", an event for entrepreneurs and business owners.

Committee member Eric Thomas stated that “This event will be a great forum to hear from and talk to state, local, and federal government representatives on financing for your business, working with governmental agencies and opportunities in new markets. We’re also excited that leaders from the community will be on hand to discuss their stories on entrepreneurship and the challenges small business owners and entrepreneurs face today.”

Three sessions will be held to accommodate entrepreneurs in all 35 counties of the Tri-State Development Summit. 

Tuesday, August 17 – Quincy, Illinois (Microtel - 200 South 3rd Street)
Wednesday, August 18 – Mt. Pleasant, Iowa (Southeastern Community College - 200 North Main Street) 
Thursday, August 19 – Hannibal, Missouri (Fiddlesticks - 8945 Hwy. 36)

Speakers will cover Financial Assistance, Export Assistance, Selling to the Government and New Markets. 

Cost for the event is $15 which covers the cost of lunch and morning refreshments.  Registration began July 26.  Each session will begin at 9:30 a.m. with registration and will conclude at 1:00 p.m.  Click the following link to register on-line for this event https://webs.extension.uiuc.edu/registration/?RegistrationID=4837  or email sschoon@illinois.edu to request a registration form or more information.
