DES MOINES, IOWA (AP) -- Attorney General Tom Miller says he'sworking to stop three fundraising operations from soliciting donations in Iowa and wants the Legislature to change the law to make it easier to learn how charities spend their money.

Miller say one fundraiser, Bloomington, Ind.-based Campaign Center, has agreed to stop soliciting in Iowa. It wasn't registered with the state as required.

Miller says he's asked a judge to stop Milwaukee-based Community Support, Inc., from telephone solicitations in the state. And he says a third company, Public Safety Communications of Des Moines, is under court order to stop operating.

He urged lawmakers on Thursday to approve a measure requiring charitable groups to disclose their income and state how much of donations go for administration and fundraising.
