The following is from KHQA's correspondent Daniel Winn of KRCG in Columbia, Missouri:
A group that sued unsuccessfully to get “Proposition C" off of the August ballot said Monday they will not appeal.
On Friday, Cole County Judge Paul Wilson dismissed a lawsuit that challenged the constitutionality of the August ballot measure.
That decision green-lighted a statewide vote on a provision of the new federal health care law.
The suit had claimed that the proposal violated a constitutional prohibition on multiple subjects.
Plaintiffs' attorney Chip Gentry said Monday, his clients decided to save the state and the taxpayers a lot of money by not continuing their fight to the Supreme Court.
