HANNIBAL, MO. -- Its National Community Health Center Week and Salt River Community Health Center in Hannibal is celebrating.
It's 1 of 21 health centers in Missouri.
It's only been operation for 3 years but has been an asset to northeast Missouri.
These centers provide primary preventive and dental care to house holds with incomes less then 200 percent of federal poverty level.
Local lawmakers Wes Shoemyer and Brian Munzlinger both said that this type of healthcare is important
With state budget cuts the centers still provide care, they are just doing it with less money.
