QUINCY, ILL. -- The Illinois republican candidate for state treasurer wants to cut costs in that office.
He says having six satellite locations across the state of Illinois is costing taxpayers money that could be directed to other things.
Dan Rutherford made a stop in Quincy this morning and he told us that the services provided by the state treasurer can be found on the internet.
He says that the treasurer is responsible for the investment of state money and not running offices across the state.
