QMG gives big donation

QUINCY, ILL -- Quincy Medical Group donated $105,200 to the Quincy Salvation Army.

The money was raised through a dinner and auction QMG had more then a month ago.

The money will be used to renovate and expand what used to be the Inman's Gallery Building.

The building will be used to house the Salvation Army shelter, food pantry, and other direct services.

QMG employee will also be volunteering with the construction of the building.

Major Alan Wurtz with the Salvation Army hopes the emergency shelter is completed next summer.
