EWING, MO. -- The talk was fast and the money was flying as Missouri's best auctioneers gathered in Ewing, Missouri this weekend.

Their goal was to raise money for the Lewis County Fire Department. Saturday, the Missouri Professional Auctioneers Association held it's Ringman Championship.

Ewing Fire Chief Doug Vaughn says he hopes the day's events will bring in about $1,500.

One hundred percent of Staurday's proceeds will go to fund fire prevention activities in schools and public service events.

Around 6:00 p.m. Saturday, the group held a barbeque for all the firemen in the county.
