KEOKUK, IOWA -- Throughout the month of August the Keokuk Art Center will display an exhibition of watercolors by Quincy artist, Joan Green.
Joan is a charter member of the Great River Watercolor Society as well as a member of the Quincy Art Center and the Artists Guild. She has taught drawing at John Wood Community college, watercolor at the Quincy Art Club, and teaches private painting lessons in her studio.
Green's paintings have been accepted in numerous juried shows throughout the Tri-States and recently won the First in Watercolor Award at the Keokuk Art Center's Annual Exhibit. She has received three Best of Show awards, one of which was the 2002 Mary S. Oakley Show in Quincy. Joan has also been the recipient of the Great River Watercolor Society Award.
Joan Green's paintings are being shown within the Keokuk Art Center's Round Room Gallery located at 210 North 5th Street. The gallery is open to the public Monday through Saturday beginning at 9:00 a.m.
