Neighbors called 911 when alarms sounded

A Monday night house fire in Hannibal is under investigation.
HANNIBAL, MO. --
The fire department considers the cause of a fire at 2209 Hope Street as suspicious.

Neighbors called 911 when they saw smoke and heard the smoke detectors sound inside the home.

Firefighters saw light smoke coming from inside the home.

They went inside and quickly put out the fire.

The home has some minor damage.

Nobody was at home at the time of the fire.
