QUINCY, ILL. -- Sunset Home is celebrating 121 years of service with an anniversary ball on August 26 from 6-9:30 p.m.

The ball will take place at the Oakley-Lindsay Center with music by Kathy Brink and The Music Company.  Appetizers and cocktail sandwiches will be served.

Sunset Home also will host a BBQ at County Market, 48th & Broadway in Quincy, on Friday, August 20 from 10:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m.

You also can buy a raffle ticket for a chance to win a new 2009 E-Jewel 150cc Motor Scooter worth more than $2800, donated by Sunset Home and Traeader's TNT Yamaha.

Tickets are available at Sunset Home, 418 Washington in Quincy, or at the BBQ on August 20.  Tickets prices are one for $10, three for $25.

All money raised from both the BBQ and the raffle will go to the 2010 Alzheimer's Memory Walk.  The drawing for the scooter will take place on the night of the Memory Walk on Thursday, September 2.
