Jacksonville pastor headed to prison

JACKSONVILLE, ILL. -- A 58 year old pastor from Jacksonville is headed to prison for 12 years after pleading guilty to sexual assault of a boy.

James Elliott will have to serve at least 10 years in the Illinois DOC before being considered for parole.

The sexual assaults took place between November of last year and February of 2010 in Jacksonville.

Under Illinois law, Elliott could have been sentenced to up to 30 years in prison.
