CHICAGO (AP) -- The Illinois Department of Public Health is getting the word out about a massive nationwide egg recall.
However, the agency says no illnesses in Illinois have been linked to the eggs at this time.
Agency spokeswoman Melaney Arnold says they're waiting for details from the Food and Drug Administration about where the eggs may have been distributed in the state.
An Iowa egg producer is voluntarily recalling hundreds of millions of eggs because they might be contaminated with salmonella.
The eggs were sold under a variety of brand names.
Headache, muscle aches, diarrhea and vomiting are among the symptoms of salmonella within 72 hours of consumption of contaminated food.
