LAGRANGE, MO -- We told you Tuesday that the former LaGrange Foundry has a new owner.

Carter Newt with Sunflower Enterprises, L.L.C. bought the tax sale certificate on the property Monday.

We tried to contact him Wednesday but our phone call was not returned

We did speak with LaGrange City Administrator Mark Campbell.

He said Newt plans a full demolition of the building once he gets the title.

We also spoke with council member Rita Cox, she said "The mayor and council  worked with Bob Veatch, Lewis County collector over the past summer to get  help with the sale of the property.

She also said " This is a positive opportunity for our community, its been an eyesore for the community, we welcome him to the community."

Mark Campbell has plans to meet with Newt sometime next week.
