QUINCY, ILL. -- A couple of Illinois state legislators want to improve Quincy's economic growth in the coming years. Illinois Congressman Aaron Schock and Congressman John Mica were in South Quincy's Industrial District Monday. They promoted a transportation bill that could bring hundreds and even thousands of jobs to the area.

Schock says Quincy's infrastructure is key to competition and development. This 450 billion dollar bill would allow for regional highway and rail projects as well as a new port project. Currently, President Obama has stalled the bill, putting it on the back burner. But Schock says he'll begin hitting the bill hard beginning November 3.
