HANNIBAL, MO. -- The following is a news release from the Hannibal Police Department;
Officers of the Hannibal Police Department (HPD) conducted eight (8) on site alcohol sale compliance checks at local convenience stores and grocery stores Saturday (August 28th) evening in a continued effort to reduce the availability of alcoholic beverages to minors.
Of the eight (8) businesses checked for compliance all were found to be in compliance.
Thus far in 2010 the Hannibal Police Department has conducted a combined total of twenty nine (29) compliance checks at various businesses in Hannibal and found only four (4) that were noncompliant which represents an 86% compliance rate.
The businesses found in compliance on Saturday were as follows:
