MARION COUNTY, MISSOURI -- Both the republican and democratic central committees in Marion County Missouri have until September 14th to decide if they want to put a name on the ballot for the county collectors office.

This is because the current county collector, Lee Viorel passed away over the weekend in St. Louis.

Marion County clerk Bob Ravenscraft says each party can submit a name or they can elect not to submit a name.

Viorel was on the ballot for the upcoming election and he was unopposed.
