KEOKUK, IA. -- One of the biggest Labor Day parades in the Tri-States rolled through Keokuk's Main Street this afternoon. This year's parade drew in 100 entries including floats, bands and dignitaries. Parade participants began walking, dancing and horse-riding at 20th and Main streets and continued down Main Street to Fourth.
This year's theme took on the "Tall Tales of the Mississippi," including floats with "Huckleberry Finn" and "Tom Sawyer." Pastor Sylvia Tillman of God's Way Christian Center was this year's parade marshal.
Parade attendees also were able to hear music played by highschool bands from Keokuk, Hamilton, and Clark County, Missouri. The parade began at 11 a.m. Monday and lasted until 12:15 p.m. Check out our video later tonight to see if you made the cut!
