QUINCY, ILL. -- Illinois' Republican Lieutenant Governor candidate says the private sector can save the state's floundering economy.

28-year-old Jason Plummer, running with gubernatorial candidate Bill Brady, says the state can get back on its feet by not raising taxes, holding the line on state spending and letting private business create jobs.

Plummer toured Quincy on Tuesday, Sep 7 visiting with supporters and talking with voters about the business climate of the state.

Plummer is a buisnessman from Edwardsville and an Intelligence Officer in the naval reserve.

Brady and Plummer are running for Governor and Lieutenant Governor against Pat Quinn and Shelia Simon.
