Quincy homebuilders volunteer their time
QUINCY, ILL. -- The race is on to complete one of the most unique projects in Quincy.
Last month we told you about a plan by the Homebuilders Association of Quincy to build a house in 4 days time.
The house is located at 701 Lind street.
It will be a one story home with three bedrooms an open floor plan, two bathrooms and walk in closets.
Members of the homebuilders association are volunteering their time and materials to complete the project.
Homebuidlers Association president Mark Lawrence had nothing but praise for these men and their volunteer effort.
He said, "To see this many builders out here on a day that's not raining, when they could be at their job sites making money doing their thing and their here at this charitable event. Hats off to these guys."
Once it's completed the home will be auctioned off with the proceeds going to Habitat for Humanity and Camp Callahan.
You check out the progress on the home online at the Homebuilders Association of Quincy website.
