Update in Cazares murder trial

HANNIBAL, MO. -- A St. Charles County, Missouri judge is considering a request for a new judge to preside over the murder trial of Manuel Cazares.

This came as the judge met with attorneys for both the defense and prosecution.

The judge could make a decision about the request as early as next week.

Cazares is charged with first degree murder in connection with the stabbing deaths of two people in Hannibal in 2009.
