Adams County Coroner, Gary Hamilton, has told KHQA that it has been confirmed that Richard Hively's cause of death was drowning.

UPDATE: 12:00 p.m.
The body of 59 year-old Richard Hively has been found. Adam's County Emergency Management Director John Simon told KHQA volunteer emergency corps along with Hively's family found his body after opening gates of Quincy's Lock and Dam 21 Sunday morning.
Simon says at this point, investigators are calling his death a boating accident and have no further details at the moment.

Adams County Emergency Management Director John Simon confirmed with KHQA that Illinois State Police have suspended the search for 59-year-old Richard Hively indefinitely.
Hively's family members say he went fishing on his boat in the Mississippi River earlier Friday and never returned.
Hively's vehicle and boat trailer were found unoccupied near Quincy's Lock and Dam 21 Saturday morning.
Simon says after a 24-hour search, search and rescue teams had exercized all options.
Now, the family's only option is to wait.

UPDATE: 3:00 p.m.
Saturday, hundreds joined the search while Hively's family awaited any news along the waterfront.
One of Hively's aunts told KHQA he'd called a family member Friday morning while having motor issues with his fishing boat.
Family say Hively went fishing on a regular basis and knew the river like the back of his hand.
Around 2:30 p.m. Saturday, emergency crews told Hively's wife the search would last today.
Adam's County Emergency Management along with the Emergency Corps, Illinois State Police, Conservation Police, Quincy Fire Department, and the Quincy Police Department began coordinating a systematic search of the river. Several boat crews were on the water until the search was suspended shortly after midnight.
The search resumed this morning. We spoke with Adam's County Emergency Manager John Simon. He said the search has been moved further south.
Hively's boat was found nosed up to Lock and Dam 21.
