QUINCY, ILL. -- In celebration of Responsible Dog Ownership Day Sunday, the Quincy Kennel Club invited first time dog owners into its training facility on Commercial Drive. KHQA spoke with one of the club's staff members, Jane Huelsmeyer. She said the day was a big information session where dog owners could receive a variety of brochures and tips on dog classes and safety and rescue procedures. Throughout the event, the club's dogs also flaunted their agility and obedience running through an extensive obstacle course for the day's audience.

For dog owners who missed out on today's activities,  the Quincy Kennel Club gives classes on obedience, puppy classes and agility throughout the year.
