PALMYRA, MO. -- It looks like the former Marion County deputy sheriff who was charged with first degree assault in connection to a shooting at his Taylor Missouri home nearly two years ago, won't face a criminal trial.
County prosecutor Tom Reddington says that because of the injuries suffered by the victim, he wouldn't be able to testify in court and that hinders the prosecutions case.
Uhlmeyer went on trial once before and was the verdict ended in a hung jury.
