SPRINGFIELD, ILL. (AP) -- Apollo 13 astronaut James A. Lovell Jr. will sign copies of his book at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum Thursday.
The commander of the ill-fated 1970 space mission intended for a moon landing will be available for signing his book, "Apollo 13," from 9:30 to 11 a.m.
Lovell will be in town for the unveiling of his portrait at the presidential museum.
The Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library Foundation honored him in February as the third Lincoln Leadership Prize recipient.
Past honorees were former U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Connor and Archbishop Desmond Tutu of South Africa.
