AUDRAIN CO. MO -- The future of improving Highway 54 from Louisiana to Mexico Missouri is still several years away.
Currently there is no state funding available until 2015.
Both Pike and Audrain counties have been meeting and getting the residents input since last year.
We spoke with Audrain County Commissioner Richard Webber, he said they are looking into having the counties share some of the cost of the project.
That will probably be more appealing to the state and could move the project further up on the list.
