HANNIBAL, MO. -- Tuesday, all second grade students in the Hannibal Public Schools participated in an Instrument Petting Zoo presented by the Hannibal-LaGrange College Music Department.
The program is part of the district’s on-going Fine Arts In Education and being funded through a partnership with the Hannibal Arts Council and the George H. Riedel Private Foundation.
The second grade students got to experience musical instruments of the orchestra up close. They listened to how they are played, what sounds they make, and some of their history. The students were divided into small groups for a more hands-on experience.
