Woman tries to forge prescription to get Adderall

QUINCY, ILL. -- A Quincy woman is facing felony charges after police say she allegedly forged a prescription from a local doctors office.

The West Central Illinois Drug Task Force says they arrested Mary Catherine Grove after the pharmacist tipped them off to the forgery

She was trying to get a pills of Adderall, a medication used to treat ADHD.

When she was arrested, Grove also had several pills of hydrocodone in her pocket.

Grove has been suspended without pay from her job as a paraeducator with the Quincy School District.
