Representative Rich Myers (R-Colchester) announced Monday that he is beginning the next phase of his treatment for prostate cancer.
He made the announcement through a press release and says he will continue with constituent services, as well as attend meetings and events within the district.
His treatment schedule may interfere with these activities from time to time.
“My family and I sincerely appreciate all of your well wishes and prayers over the last few months”, said Myers. “People have been very supportive of my efforts. At this time, I ask for your continued understanding and prayers.”
“Illness is no respecter of any man’s personal timetable. Although I now may be taking a slightly different route than the one I had planned, I intend to forge ahead through this obstacle with determination and optimism. It is my desire and my goal to continue to serve, to the best of my ability, the constituents of the 94th District, people for whom I have great love and respect.”
Myers was diagnosed with prostate cancer in March 2010.
