HANNIBAL, MO. -- A group in Hannibal is still raising money for a playground for disabled kids.
Here are some early plans for the playground that will be built at Huckleberry Park when the money is raised.
Originally, the group Right to Play set a goal of $750,000.
But it has since scaled back the plans, and is trying to raise $300,000.
"The Parks Department has agreed to pay for a significant portion of it. So far in fundraisers, we've raised about $15,000. That's without grants. We're going to start hitting grants hard after January 1," says Andy Dorian.
There's no timeline on when the playground will be built, but Andy Dorian with the Hannibal Parks and Recreation Department says he'd like to see it complete in two to three years.
