In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month

MACOMB, ILL. -- For the past several years the citizens of Macomb have 'painted the town pink' on the first weekend in October to kick off National Breast Cancer Awareness.

The Macomb Area Chamber of Commerce and Downtown Development Corporation is encouraging residents and businesses to decorate their windows and store fronts like this one did to show support.

One way for everyone to do that is to light up in pink.

Pink light bulbs are being sold around town for $5.

They can be picked up at the MACCDDC office at 214 N. Lafayette, local banks, County Market and HyVee.
