QUINCY, ILL. -- Sunday, three dollars is all it took to get into thirteen brand new homes in the Quincy area. These tours kicked off the Parade of Homes fundraiser for the Homebuilders Association of Quincy.

The homes featured some of the latest decorating and design techniques that can easily fit into anyone's home.

"Most of these homes are brand new. Some are for sale, other's aren't. Some are lived in, others aren't. But you'll get a good idea of where the trend is going today," said Jeff Schutte, a board member of HBAQ.

One of the houses on display was the HBAQ Charity House at 7th and Lind Street. A house built in about four days with help from volunteers around the Quincy area. The house will be auctioned off Saturday, October 16 at 10:00 a.m.

All the proceeds raised from the Parade of Homes will go to the Homebuilders Association of Quincy.
