REP. BRINGER ANNOUNCES PRESCRIPTION DRUG COVERAGE MEETINGS Rep. Rachel Bringer (D-Palmyra) announced she will host meetings to assist senior citizens regarding Medicare Part D, which is the federal program for prescription drug coverage. Representatives from the CLAIM organization in Jefferson City will be available at computer terminals to help with the process. CLAIM has been designated by the State of Missouri to assist seniors with Medicare Part D. Meetings will be held on Wednesday, November 17th at the Perry Christian Academy in Perry from 9:30 a.m. until 12:00 noon, and from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the Palmyra Library in Palmyra, and on Thursday, November 18th at the Hannibal Free Public Library in Hannibal from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Walk-ins are welcome. However, in order to reduce waiting time, appointments may be scheduled by calling CLAIM at 1-800-390-3330. Please bring your Medicare card and a list of your prescription medication to the meeting. If you are unable to attend but have questions about prescription drug coverage, you may contact CLAIM for assistance at 1-800-390-3330. Seniors may switch plans without penalty until December 31, 2010. Representative Bringer stated, “There have been many changes made to the Medicare Part D plans offered in Missouri, and these meetings will provide opportunities for seniors to review their coverage and enroll in the plan that is best suited to meet their needs.” If you have further questions, contact Rep.
