QUINCY, ILL. -- This week's It's Your Business report, takes us to Center Stage Music in downtown Quincy where we met a woman who has dedicated her life to helping others, and turning their performing dreams into reality.

Center Stage Music is located on Washington Square at  132 North 5th street.

The newly opened music school specializes  in teaching voice, piano and guitar.

It also has several dance studios and well as acting and improv classes available.

Chenille Saunders opened the business with her husband Matt.

She is a professional entertainer and motivational speaker who learned how to teach at the largest privately owned music school in the country.

I asked her just how important good instruction is to someone who is pursuing their musical dreams.

She said, " When we take them downstairs and get them on the stage the teacher has to know how to get them up on the stage and know how to perform and present themselves in a professional manner themselves because if they can't do it, how can the student go out and do it. professionally"

One thing Chenille is quick to point out is that you are never to old to pursue your dreams.

Center stage has students ranging from 3 years old to 72.

Some are performers, others have never stepped on a stage before.

And one of the great by products of getting that instruction is the reason why Chenille has dedicated her life to teaching and passing her love of entertaining onto others.

She said, "All of sudden you see the light in their eye and you see that twinkle and they know that this might be a reality that I might actually be able to take this on."
