It was a chilly but overall nice night for our trick or treaters across the Tri-States. KHQA caught up with many at the Admiral Koontz Armory in Hannibal this evening.

Beginning at 5p.m., hundreds of families began lining the parking lot of the armory. Once inside, they were able to partake in costume contests, games, a haunted tent and of course, loads of candy.

Hosted by the Hannibal Police Department, the 30th Annual Children's Party provided families with a safe place to bring their kids on Halloween.

"Going full force right now. We're ready for a lot of kids and a lot of action tonight," said Cpl. Brian Allen. "The best costume, I believe, is a robot. Last year we have 746 children. This year we're looking for considerably more."

D.A.R.E. sponsors provided everyone with free food and drinks. Allen says the donations from the community helped make the night possible.

Check out our video above to see if your costume made the cut.
