FORT DODGE, IOWA (AP) -- It's harvest time in Iowa, which meansdrivers need to play it safe on the roads.

In 2006, eight people died in crashes involving farm equipment.

Troy Jerman of the Iowa Department of Transportation says it'seasy to get impatient behind a slow-moving tractor, but patience is key. He says if you see equipment, you need to slow down.

Studies show that left turn, rear-end and passing collisions are the most common types of accidents. The most common time of the day for accidents is between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m.
