QUINCY, ILL. -- The Quincy Park District is pursuing a plan to get public input on a new comprehensive plan.

Monday night, the Board of Commissioners heard from an expert park consultant on the process of using focus groups to garner information on community wants and needs.

District staff was then directed to work with a Kansas City consultant on randomly selecting focus groups and getting public opinion on priorities.

Board President John Frankenhof says information gleaned from focus groups and a community survey will help create a new comprehensive plan.

Focus groups will meet in January. The community survey will be distributed in the spring.
