QUINCY, ILL. -- Quincy's Cedar Creek Trail will not be getting any money from the State of Illinois.

The Quincy Park District applied for an Illinois Transportation Enhancement Project grant to continue that trail all the way to 36th street....it currently ends at 18th Street.

Quincy is in District six which received nearly seven-million-dollars in grant funding.

Almost four million went to Springfield, more than 800-thousand went to Jacksonville and nearly 150-thousand went to Nauvoo.

The next step will be for the Board of Commissioners to consider the future of the Cedar Creek Trail project as part of its Comprehensive Planning the the coming year.
