QUINCY, ILL. -- Vatterott College of Quincy is hosting the community in an open house event that honors local Veterans and their service.

The first 75 veterans who attend the Veterans Appreciation Day Open House will receive a voucher for a free haircut to Salon Cosmetique at Vatterott and a Vatterott blanket.

The college will also be accepting canned goods for the Fall Harvest Food Drive benefitting area food pantries.

Anyone who brings in 5 canned good items will receive a voucher for a free haircut to Salon Cosmetique, and the first 50 visitors to bring in 10 canned good items will receive a voucher for a free haircut, as well as a Vatterott scarf.

“The staff here in Quincy is so proud to honor our Veterans.  Those who have honored our nation with their service deserve many thanks.  It just makes sense to merge it with our Fall Harvest Food Drive that helps those in need this time of year,” said Campus Director Mike Denum.  “At Vatterott we are privileged to be an active partner in the community.  We hope to be able to show our gratitude to many Quincy Veterans this year.”

Vatterott’s Veteran Appreciation Event and Fall Harvest Food Drive will take place on Wednesday, November 10th from 11am to 6:30pm and is open to the public with food and beverages available.

This free event is being held on the Vatterott College Campus at 3609 North Marx Drive in Quincy, 62305.
